I had been creating handmade bears for the wholesale market for 25 years and people began asking me to make a special bear to memorialize someone in their life who had passed away. They brought me all kinds of materials – everything from blue jeans to mink coats and I turned them into one of a kind keepsake bears. I sometimes add things like watches, necklaces, ties, or even medals to make each bear a reflection of their loved one’s life. Many people have told me that these bears have become a wonderful way to cherish their memories.
